TUCSON ORCHESTRATED, the latest penultimate cavalcade of sound from SonicAnta is finally available as of 8/9/10!

The Anta Project is an enhanced sound collage compiled from covert performances utilizing modified chop sticks and a cello bow to play the steel wall, barbed wire fences and assorted ephemera that separates the United States from Mexico in the Sonoran Desert. The Anta Project disc, featuring the entire 60 minute sonic sculpture, plus detailed liner notes and original art is available for purchase. All proceeds from the sale of discs go towards funding future projects.

 

 

A special REMIXED digital version of The Anta Project is also available exclusively as a hi-quality download.  

In addition, the bonus track Droneland Security has been included for the first time. This track, released in 2009, is available nowhere else!

All of the sonic downloads found on this site are lo-fidelity excerpts from the SonicAnta D-Construction Sound Subscription Series.

This recording was created by mic-ing and recording an oscillating Honeywell electric fan with a variety of microphones strategically placed to "play-up" the fan's assorted tones, drones and nuances.

Those tracks were then processed and mixed into a single work which best represents an immersive electric fan event.

It is the hope of The Tucson Electric Fan Appreciation Society (T.E.F.A.S.) that this recording will open the door to your own personal discoveries, observations and enjoyment of the fans swirling around you everyday.
